The Diversity Club is a group of students and faculty dedicated to combatting prejudice and discrimination of all kinds to promote the valuing of diversity. Membership is open to any student or faculty member who is interested in becoming a participant of raising diversity awareness in the CHS community.

Everyone is welcome to join...

We hereby pledge that we will prevent or try to put an end to any form of discrimination, may it be because of: age, sex, race, color, sexual orientation, religion, or any other form of biased discrimination in our school, community, and anywhere we see fit. We will respect others for who they are and make them more comfortable in the presence of ourselves and others. We will accept others and treat them as we would like to be treated. We will lend out our hands to anyone in need of comfort and support. We are here to try to put an end to stereotypes. We are here to work in and along side the community so that we can work towards building a better community...one that is worth living in.

Hatred
Open your heart,
And let love in.
Why tell me unkind things?
Why try to conflict with me?
My heart is the same as yours;
Ever-beating to sustain my life.
Though my beliefs may differ from yours,
and my skin may not be the right shade for your approval,
Why harbor such hatred towards me?
Why condemn my kind?
Why me?
I'm not evil, nor are you!
Ignorance has spawned from past generations
Why do people let it reign over them?
Why do people promote hatred instead of promoting love?
